I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for increasing the amount of comments on my blog? I've had my blog and have been posting a couple of times a week on average since August. So far, I've had a grand total of two comments - one of which was spam and I deleted it. Any suggestions or experience of other bloggers would be greatly appreciated.

Receiving comments is hard to get in the beginning. If you continue to write good, unique content, then you should begin to see more comments.
As it was said, sometimes when you comment on other blogs, they may return the favour.
You may also try leading into a discussion at the end of each posts. Perhaps ask a question to your visitors. They may write a comment to provide an answer. It is also good if you do write a comment after theres to continue the discussion. Remember that comments on a blog are a discussion.
