Default Just tried out RSS!

I already have the RSS button my website, but I just started subscribing to other blogs. It is an awesome way to keep track of the blogs I'm commenting on, and it gives me a feel for what my subscribers see.

If you haven't already, try it out!

Set yourself up with FeedBurner for your blog.

You can get the code for you RSS from FeedBurner. Another way is just create a link to: http://feeds.feedburner.com/[Your feed name].

It is very handy. And what I love about it is it's not as bothersome as email. When you subscribe to a site via email, you often feel obligated to read the email when it arrives and if you get a lot of emails, it can be overwhelming. I tend to have a lower tolerance for email. If I get 1-2 emails from a sender that I'm not interested in, I'll probably unsubscribe.

With RSS, I find myself to be much more tolerant. I can skip over the content that doesn't interest me and read the good stuff at my leisure. What a great concept.

I love RSS!

I have a whole bunch of RSS feeds built in into the Bookmarks Toolbar on my Firefox browser... when I need a break or to catch up, it's incredibly easy to check up updates on all the rss feeds to which I am subscribed.
