Help with Chicklet Creator in Wordpress please

Hi

I am trying to set up Chicklet Creator in Wordpress and if you look at my blog www.coldsorereliefs.com/blog the icons does not appeared properly.

What am I doing wrong. I am a complete beginner and find it very hard to set this up.

I would ve bery grateful f someone could help me

Hi chouchou,

Did you follow the instructions for installation. I'm assuming you downloaded a wordpress plugin that sets this all up for you.

Thanks for answering so quickly.

I have followed the instructions, but I must be doing something wrong.

I get the following error below but do not understand the thing about struction is incorrect and how can I do to fix it.

Error?! - If you get this error Cannot load Chicklet-Creator/chicklet-creator.php it means that the files were uploaded but the file struction is incorrect. Ensure that your file structure looks like this

/wp-content/plugins/Chicklet-Creator/chicklet-creator.php
/wp-content/plugins/Chicklet-Creator/RSS-images/

OK so were you able to verify that structure? In other words, after you downloaded the plugin, did you unzip and upload the entire Chicklet-Creator folder (not just the plugin file) to your plugins folder?

Can you confirm if you've done that right or is the uploading part throwing you off?

Sorry for all the trouble. I am a complete beginner and thanks God there is still good people like you on the net.

Ok.

I have unzipped and then upload the file called "RSS images" in the plugin folder and then upload the file called "Chicklet-creator.php" in the plugin folder too.

Then I went and activated the plugin and then enter the following <? if (function_exists('chicklet_creator')) { chicklet_creator(); } ?> in the sidebar.php

Went to 'Options' -> 'Chicklet Creator' and configure what buttons I wanted to see and click upload but unfortunately I get the following error "Cannot load Chicklet-Creator/chicklet-creator.php."

That it what I have done and obviuosly did something wrong.

OK well it sounds like you're on the right track and at least you were able to upload. I wasn't sure if that was where you were stuck.

I think I see what might be the problem. The error you got says the path should be...

/wp-content/plugins/Chicklet-Creator/chicklet-creator.php

So that means you should also have a folder called "Chicklet-Creator" on your server and the chicklet-creator.php should be inside that folder.

Based on what you just told me and how you uploaded the files, your file structure looks like this...

/wp-content/plugins/chicklet-creator.php

No Chicklet-Creator folder.

Do you have a Chicklet-Creator folder inside the plugin folder or is the chicklet-creator.php file and RSS images folder sitting in the plugin folder all by themselves?

Sounds to me like the program is not executing because it can't find the Chicklet-Creator folder. Try creating a folder called Chicklet-Creator inside the plugin folder and then upload the RSS images and PHP file to that folder.

I just downloaded it to see what's going on and what's confusing is the instructions say to upload the entire Chicklet-Creator folder but there is not one and you don't want to upload the .ZIP file. Seems to me there should be a folder called Chicklet-Creator inside the zip file but there isn't.

You are correct I do not have a Chicklet-creator folder and done what you said:

I created a chicklet-creator folder and then uploaded into it the RSS images and PHP file but no luck. I still have the same problem, the same error message: Cannot load Chicklet-Creator/chicklet-creator.php.

I do not know what to do.

Hmm, I thought for sure that would be it. There's an email address on the readme.txt file. You may want to try contacting the developer. Hopefully he'll get back to you. Or you can also Google the Chicklet Creator and see if anyone else has had trouble. A lot of times you can find people having the same problem in other forums, etc.

Sounds to me like you've followed the instructions quite well.
