Even though I have seen it before, apparently "categories" are not supported by Blogger. However, it seems that there are hacks around this.

Type "how to include categories in a blogger blog" into Google and you may find some useful information. The first search result seemed to include a hack that will allow you to add categories, but I cannot recommend it, since I don't know if the author is trust-worthy or not.

I thought that you could add categories by adding "tags" to your post. For example if you add "make money" as a tag then it creates a category called "make money" and every time you use this tag in a post then it adds it to the "make money" category.

I don't use Blogger anymore so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Default You're right, Lisa

Instead of Tags, it's actually called labels but yes, you add labels to your blog and it creates different categories, especially if your blog is covering more than one label. And the labels are actually the key words you're using in your blog. If I'm making sense-

Say if you have a blog about website creation and you choose 4 labels:

web hosting
html
java script
internet

These four would be your keywords, thus your labels, thus you have four categories in your blog and every time you post about something about these four things, it's automatically listed in that category/label

I had written instructions (at least I thought) on how to add categories to a Blogger blog, but I can't seem to find it. Anyways, here are the instructions again:

1. Log in to your Blogger account, and then click the Layout link to the blog you want to change.

2. Click the Add a Page Element where you want the categories to appear.

3. From the list of page elements, click the Add to Blob button under Labels. In Blogger, the Labels item is similar to categories.

4. Enter a title, and then click Save Changes. This should add the new Labels element to your blog.

5. Now when you create or edit a post, enter some labels in the text box labelled Labels for this post. Each label should be separated by a comma.

6. When you publish the post, a label will show up on your blog with the number of posts associated with it.

Hopefully this helps.
