Well I've only used Blogger and WordPress and I just switched to WordPress last week. My favorite feature is the big selection of plug-ins to enhance the blog. And even though I'm just getting started I already love it.

Blogger is better for begginers in general and Word press is slightly more advanced especially if your not going to host it on there web server. Im still a newbie and blogging so im going to stick with blogger for a little bit, im guessing that in the future word press will become more popular.

WordPress is free no matter if you host it on their domain or your own.

I get tons of email Kevin and my inbox is always full so I'll get to in when I can. Hang in there.

I have several wordpress blogs, both on my own and on wordpress.com, and I have to say I love it. I'm starting to like the "feel" of a lot of Drupal sites though. I might try them at some point.

Drupal is no doubt a powerful and flexible open source program beyond a normal blogging platform.

Let's not forget that one of the main reasons we use our own hosting is the fact that using the hosting that Wordpress gives is only limited to a specific storage amount!

I love word press ive checked it out thoroughly and it seems great it has a wide variety of default themes, its so clean as i though and didn't find any annoying issues with uploading my own theme and adding posts etc.

However with blogger you have the advantage of easily adding your adsense, anaytics etc and lots more google products into your own blog with any manual fuss, its partly because google owns blogger so its understandable.

I prefer using blogger. It is simple and compatible with Adsense. I was confused about how to use wordpress so I simply gave up on it. Perhaps I should have gave it a second chance?

I did the same thing when I first heard about wordpress years ago. For some reason all the options overwhelmed me but when I just sat down for a few seconds and read about all the features I was glad I switched and installed my blog on my own domain. You can still add AdSense almost just as easily with WordPress.

But Blogger also has its benefits too. They are both solid blog platforms. WordPress is just more robust.

I currently used blogger, but have thought about WordPress. I do like how blogger makes setting up a blog very quick and easy. I have managed to create my own template and am able to edit the widgets and layout very easily.

My vote goes to WordPress. I'm currently working on a new blog. I love how WordPress has all the free plug-ins. For example, you can install a plug-in that automatically generates and submits a sitemap to the major engines every time you make a new post.

Setting up the blog is just as easy as it is with blogger if you have a host with cpanel and they have many, many more templates to choose from. I also like how you can go into the WordPress control panel and they make it easy to find certain templates for custom edits. With Blogger you have one HUGE template with code for days.

With WordPress, if you want to edit your header, you open the header.php file. Or if you want to edit the footer, you open the footer.php file. And all template files are conveniently listed in the admin panel.

Blogger is probably slightly easier to setup but WordPress is best for the long-run. Glad I switched. I read your blog post, Lisa about your switch and that was the final straw that made me switch. You were right!
