Smile How do I become an affiliate?

I am working on my website everyday and have written a lot of content- still working on images but that's another story. I have researched a few affiliate programs in my niche and they all say that you have to fill out some form and they will get back to you. Are most affiliate programs like that? Do you ever get denied by programs? and if you get denied can you try back after a few months? WHen they are evaluating you I gues what exactly are they looking for? I know that my webiste is new so I feel a little intimidated by filling out the form (I would never dare do it now anywhere as I am not where I want to be) but I am certainly striving to do that and I dont want to burst my bubble right our the gate. Any thoughts?

Yup, 99.999% will require you to fill out a form which states that your website will be evaluated before you can become an affiliate.. Some are more strict than others when evaluating.. Google Adsense or AdBrite is one that will more than likely be some of the easiest and quickest to get signed up with.

And as you mentioned, if you get turned down you can try again a few months down the road, but make sure you know why you were turned down..

They'll want to see quality, relevant content and lots of it, too.

Hi, yes you will have to fill out forms and wait for approval, but there's nothing to worry about i got approved from amazon in a matter of days and commission junction took a little longer, as i think its the actual vendor you going to be an affiliate for checks your site out and decides whether they want you promoting their products.

Obviously I have no Idea what your site is about, but have you thought of joining clickbanks affiliate program (digital products)? You may find a product you could promote in your chosen niche? Its probably the quickest way to get started anyone can join, just fill out your details its pretty much instant, and of you go you could be selling in no time. Easy as ABC.

Hope this has been helpful.

Regards, Mcalpine.

My start with affiliate marketing was creating ads through Adwords. I've never had a site and I have never been denied. If I ran across a program that required a site, I didn't apply because....you guessed it, no site LOL! This process maybe a bigger deal when dealing with larger, more well-known companies.

My thought, don't input your web address unless it's a required field. As was mentioned before, the website is what's causing the "approval" process. Trust me, if they can tell what ip address a click is coming from, I'm sure they can tell where their ad is placed....

Yeah i agree clickbank approval is guaranteed, and you can start promoting right away the products of your choosing. With commission junction, and linkshare for example you have to be approved by some vendors because they want to make sure your website is relevant to their product for the most part. Has good content etc... just pleasing to the eye somewhat with relevant content related to those products.

I have been working on my website (although I am hurt see the content section for my post- very funny) I applied to Clickbank since you guys advised that everyone gets approved. I was disappointed with the advertising opportunities so I am not sure that I wil even put anything on my site. I am dealing with a particular wedding niche and most of the advertisements werer for ebooks and when I looked at the content and actually bought the most popluar on I was not impressed. I sent a copy of my ebook in progress and the ebook I bought to my god sister who was an editor of a magazine and now teaches she was not impressed and has really motivated me and edited my ebook. She feels that it mine is much better. Now I am again discouraged. i applied to another affiliate that is at the bottom of my list just to see if I would get accepted. It has been a week and I have not heard anything from them. Is this normal for them to just diss you like this and not even send an email saying thanks for applying but no thanks. How long does the process usually take if you are accepted. If not accepted I wish they would say why they did not accept you so you can work on your weaknesses of your site? Any thoughts?

I didn't know that Amazon had an affiliate program lol but yeah go with click bank for now your like 99% sure of getting in. It doesn't take to long either.

Also, if you do decide to go with a click bank product please make sure you test it our first. Then maybe right a review about it an put it on your site. That will build up your credibility with your visitors.

This can be done with the help of certain websites that will show you how to make money online and build a strong clientele through the website that makes money. So be smart in choosing the best affiliate programs.
