Default Suggestions for Affiliate networks.

I'm running a flash gaming site as well as a blog related to the flash game industry and game development. I'm looking pretty deeply into affiliate ads now because they seem to be far more successful with enough research and effort. I'm currently a member of commission junction and like the layout a lot. Do you guys have any suggestions for what affiliate ads I should be showing and what networks I shoul dbe going through? I see that clickbank has the most viewers at a time here in the forums, is clickbank preferred? Any information on the different networks and ads suitable for an arcade site (I'll be adding my own to the list from my own research since I know my demographic) would be greatly appreciated.

You should join a affiliate program that;

1: Your familiar with
2: You know about the product
3: Relates to your niche
4: You can market well

It's really hard for someone to point down a specific affiliate program, because each affiliate program can do differently for others

If you are into flash games, you should check out MochiAds. You can sign up with them and put their games on your site and get paid per play. You will probably want to do more research as I have not used them and have only gone off of their website and a few reviews. I'm not sure if this would be considered an associate, but I wanted to mention it anyway.

You will need to do some research on your visitors to find out which will work best. On sites with smaller traffic CPA usually works better while CPM and CPC will perform better on larger sites. My advice is you try each type of ad to see which performs better on your site.

When starting to work with any affiliate program you should have some kind of a visitor base. Before spending a lot of your energy on resources spend some time developing your site and promoting it so it gets some kind of visitors. The number of visitors you should have on a site before starting any type of affiliate program all depends on the content of the site. Some sites will get very good return on 10,000 visitors a day while other sites can get the same return on 50 visitors a day.
