Default shabby clickbank?

Check out this blog post made by a clickbank affiliate.

"ClickBank will withhold the first check to be issued from your account until the payable balance contains sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers, including at least one Visa card, and one MasterCard in order to be eligible to receive a check."

"Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of inactivity, $5 per pay period after 180 days of inactivity, and $15 per pay period after 365 days of inactivity."

I never knew about the clickbank policies.

Yep. Before I started earning regular monthly checks with Clickbank, I would check my account from time to time and noticed my commissions were slowly decreasing. Low and behold it was the inactivity clause that was in effect. I wasn't too happy about that at all. I probably lost about $70 in commissions.

yea it is kind of sad to see your hard earned money go that way. SO basically you gotta keep promoting clickbank products?

what if i promote, get paid (account goes back to 0) and then stop promoting? Will they keep deducting money from my account? I think it only applies if your account is positive.

quoting from clickbank site

Yeah I would HOPE it's only if you have money there. That would be horrible if you had a negative balance. Hopefully they wouldn't be that strict.

Default Taking Advantage

I think it is horrible how these companies take advantage of people. And my main issue is that the majority of people getting ripped off are under 18.

These companies take advantage of young people by getting them to spend hundreds of hours and making pennies in return. Then they pull stunts like this where if you don't make enough money you don't make anything.

They have millions of dollars behind them for marketing and they have tens of thousands of young people working below minimum wage to promote their products on promises of wealth.

We need a forum to warn people of these new child preditors.

They will keep doing this until one of the CEOs ends up in jail.

Where are our Senators and Congress people when we need them? Oh, never mind, they are busy e-mailing young kids and looking for gay sex. So not much help from them on this issue.

I agree! Even Google does some gimmicks like these.

-> They don't pay weekly like some affiliate programs do. Paying once a month or less means more interest to them.

-> When people get banned from the program, we don't really know what happens to the money. Do they really refund the money back to advertisers ?
