Default my amazon results

Today i was totally taken by surprise when i logged into my amazon associates page to see two items ordered through my amazon referral link.

I have a PHP book referral on some of the pages on my site (on the left hand side just below the menu). Both order came yesterday. I've had 14 clicks with 2 orders and 0 items shipped. Amazon only pays after the items are shipped. I will be anxiously waiting for the books to be shipped

I'm surprised to see the orders from my referral link partially because i make no recommendation or review for the book. Its just amazon link and i only have one book referral. I wonder how my conversions would be if i made a review on the book and had referrals to more related books?

That's great Webdev! You probably should do some reviews. That would probably boost your sales. Even though Amazon has low commissions I do like their upsale. For example, some people will buy a book I recommend and then buy tons of other things too, not even related to the products I referred and you get commissions for all those too.

Excellent, Webdev. Dontcha just wish Amazon would pay better than that measly 4%? I agree with attackdepression, the upsales at Amazon.com. My last commission report had everything from web development books to body cream. LOL

its funny how i never got any sales on cj. Now after almost 500 clicks, i get my first sale commission thru cj. Someone bough $5.00 worth of domain name(s) through my referral link. Earned me $2.00. Thou its still pending. But i made my first cj sale I thought it would never come. I had stopped logging into cj to check my reports.

Let see how it goes from here.

Maybe that's the trick...stop checking your account, and the sales with come! LOL Isn't it nice to get a surprise like that?

GoDaddy is also on CJ. I believe they offer up to $100 per sale on some products.

If you are a reseller and earn a lifetime commission/residuals on hosting, domains, etc. then you do have to pay to join. But if you want to become an affiliate for GoDaddy through CJ and you earn a one-time commission per customer than it's free.

Wonder my next sale is gonna be...lol.
