And im lost...What does this mean, if its your website, why are you an affiliate of anything... Im real sorry if this is a stupid Q...Just saw a lot of users using this term when describing them selves especially Lisa the Admin, and wondering what the connection is?
An affiliate is someone who refers another company's product from their site, email, blog, etc. and earn a commission for every sale that is made.
For example, say you have a site that talks about ipods. You could join apple.com's affiliate program and link ipod accessories from your site. Any sale that is made as a result from your link/referral earns you a commission.

Blossom, the question is why wouldn't you want to be an affiliate? If you have a website with traffic, it's one of the easiest ways to generate extra revenue from your site. It's how I make a living, Lisa too.
