Red face SBI's Affiliate Program

Lisa,

I didn't know you can join their program with or without having your website. I just went on their main website and I'm still going through the videos and other info and I came across that feature.

I know 3 other folks at my workplace that want to start an online business and I think SBI would be perfect for them. I get paid next Wednesday so that is when I will be purchasing SBI and starting on my first website.

I started out with one idea, now I have 3 but I know after going through the brainstorming feature of SBI I may have an entirely different one or I may go back to my original one-

I'll keep you posted and include my url after I'm done. And I also see you have yet ANOTHER web site on Affiliate Programs - you go girl. Keep up the good work

Renee

Oh absolutely. I was an affiliate with them for 4 years before I actually bought SBI! I've just had better success with their program since I bought it and can share my success story.

But by all means refer your friends to the product because you can earn a commission and then you can use that money to help pay for your own site.

Default Wow!

So you did it for four years before you actual bought SBI? I'm curious, why that long? Were you still trying to decide what you were going to do? Now I work for a large telecommunications company and I know folks who want to start an online business outside of their main job and I have many friends in my Chrisitan faith who also are looking to do something part-time. In both of these instances, I can refer people to SBI.

There is a lot to read though so I'm going through that now. I was just curious to learn a little more about how you started with their affiliate program or maybe I just should just check out your new website-

My long range goal is to quit my full-time job to have a writing job, that's my 'dream' job - to be able to write, blog, etc and if I can do it on the internet while helping/encouraging others (don't want to give away too much of my website niche just yet) while making some money, then that's what I'm going to do.

I first heard about SiteSell through Allan Gardyne back in 1999 and I bought the first book they launched called "Make Your Site Sell". I was so impressed with the book, I couldn't wait until they launched their affiliate program. So a few months later they did and I did pretty well selling his book from my site.

Site Build It! didn't launch until about a year later (2000). By that time I already had a couple of sites doing OK and really thought SBI! was only for beginners so I didn't buy it. Plus it seemed a bit too hyped up by folks which made me suspicious.

But I just kept reading more and more testimonials and Ken's newsletters kept highlighting all the success people were having with SBI! so curiosity got the best of me and I was sold.

Plus I figured it would be good for me to buy it because if I had success then I could tell my audience about it and it would help me sell more for the affiliate program. And sure enough it did!

Ken is notorious for making you read a lot but it's really worth it in the end.
