I've done pretty well with Clickbank by choosing products that fit my niche, buying them and writing a review. That's what's worked for me but not the only approach you can take. Some people bid on keywords related to the product and make money via PPC, although this could cost you a lot of money if you're not experienced with PPC.

Experiment and see what works best for you. But I think the first thing is to find products that closely match the theme of your site and go from there.

I also really like promoting some Clickbank products. Really good commission.

To add to what Lisa said, though, I think it's very important that if you do not actually buy the product to review it, I would spend some time to really research the product.

You would be surprised by the crappy quality of many of the products available at Clickbank. If you promote a product because the sales page is hyped up or because it looks good, but it turns out that the product itself is terrible, you will lose credibility and commission (when the product is refunded).

Sherif is right. Yes, the commissions are great at CB, but there is also a lot of junk on there so really be careful about what you promote. eBooks are so easy to create and for that reason many people produce crap and then try to sell it on CB using that overly hyped sales page.

That's true... because it is so easy to create eBooks and setting them up at Clickbank, many people start out as internet marketers who all of a sudden turn into "experts" in different fields.

Don't get me wrong, though, there are many marketers, who spend quite a bit of time to learn and research a certain topic, and they compile a lot of valuable info and turn it into an eBook... which is fine...

But, I don't like it when marketers put an ebook together that is of poor quality and does not add value to its readers, just so they can make some money with it.

Any smart internet marketer knows that in order to sustain his/her business, he/she needs to add value to others... but, unfortunately, it doesn't mean that people don't take shortcuts (that compromise quality) to make money.

Sorry I rambled

Default Good points, Sherif

You are right on, Sherif, as Lisa says.

Unfortunately there is not only garbage, there is garbage about garbage. People seem at least to be getting rich telling people how to write and start marketing their ebook in a week to ten days. Wow! It would take me that much of my writing time just correcting spelling.
