Default Adsense and Youtubes rules

I keep seeing people placing Google Adsense ads next to videos that are not originals that have been found on Youtube. I have read Youtubes guidelines and it is my understanding that you are not allowed to use Youtube videos that are not original content as an attraction to make money. I think websites that are filled with advertisements are considered to be "commercial websites."

Here it is word for word

D. You agree not to use the Website, including the YouTube Embeddable Player for any commercial use, without the prior written authorization of YouTube. Prohibited commercial uses include any of the following actions taken without YouTube's express approval:

sale of access to the Website or its related services (such as the Embeddable Player) on another website;
use of the Website or its related services (such as the Embeddable Player), for the primary purpose of gaining advertising or subscription revenue;
the sale of advertising, on the YouTube website or any third-party website, targeted to the content of specific User Submissions or YouTube content;
and any use of the Website or its related services (such as the Embeddable player) that YouTube finds, in its sole discretion, to use YouTube's resources or User Submissions with the effect of competing with or displacing the market for YouTube, YouTube content, or its User Submissions. (For more information about prohibited commercial uses, see our FAQ.)

Is this the way that some of you have understood their guidlines?

I wonder if Google has somethings to say about this too?

Because YouTube is owned by Google, if you are an Adsense publisher, you can insert a YouTube video with an adsense ad kind of attached to the video.

The only drawback is that I don't think you can select which video to display on your page, but it's selected for you based on the keywords on your page (I think).

I am not sure if this answers your question at all, by the way, but I think it may explain how some people can justifiably have an Adsense ad with a YouTube video.

If my understanding is correct this is the only way to justifiably include Adsense with Youtube. You must set it up in your Adsense account.

I think, but am not certian on this one, the other exception is if you have intirely original content in the video.

I think you're right about that, Sherif. That would explain why my friend had these random videos on her page. I didn't like that part about the program.
Archulas, haven't you heard? Google owns the world. LOL They also own feedburner, and of course Blogger.

Really? Not sure I like that idea. I hope that doesn't mean WordPress will stop being open source.

it would be great if google take over wordpress. then we can see all the blogger migrating to wordpress.

as wordpress gives much more flexibility and features..no wonder google will change blogger names to wordpress-blogger or just wordpress
