I don't even know if they sent an email. I rarely check my google mail.
I got the notice when I logged in to my adsense account one time. There was a notice that came up, and you had to read and accept the terms before you could go to view your adsense reports.
You'll only be against TOS if you don't put the notice on your page by a certain date. I believe its the last day in May, but not 100% sure. I think I got the notice about 2 months ago.
I didn't get an email either, but did have the notice on my adsense account like you did, West. I don't recall a date, but I did get mine up after getting the SBI newsletter that mentioned it and offered a privacy policy we could use.
For people that don't have SBI accounts, this site has a privacy policy they will let you use. And here is a pretty good explanation of the changes.
Oh O.k....Now I remember. I just thumbed through the TOS(Can't read techy stuff lol) Guess I'll do it.
BTY, if they want Privacy Policies, why don't they provide it for us and explain?..and what about Google hosted Blogger blogs. It just would seem really silly to put on on a blog. Plus they did not outline what it should contain so I'll just use it in my own words I guess...
Why on Earth would they require all sites to do this now? We weren't required before. I'm sorry if I seems to ramble on and on. I'm just a little frustrated.
I wondered about the blogger sites too because you can't even create static pages on blogger right? If you can, it's not very straightforward unless something has changed since I last used blogger.
It will be interesting to see how they try to enforce this but I will add one just to be safe.
