Yup for Adsese and I don't know what ypn is
You can create a table and place the Adsense code in there. Or you can use this plugin http://www.acmetech.com/blog/adsense-deluxe/ and create different Adsense code blocks for different purposes, tag it, then use the tag in you blog instead of the code.

What is ypn
Hello Mike thanks for the answer
YPN is Yahoo publishing network
It's the Yahoo version to adsense, if you will.
Thanks again.

Are you planning on hosting the blog on your own hosting plan or with Wordpress (i.e. xyz.wordpress.com)?
Adsense and other ads are not allowed to be inserted into your Wordpress blog if you host it with them (i.e. xyz.wordpress.com).
See http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/
If you have your own domain and want to install the Wordpress software and host the blog on your own domain, I think you can add Adsense or YPN ads.

You are not allowed to insert Adsense ads in your Wordpress blog.
I have definitely seen Wordpress blogs with Adsense, though, so maybe the rules are different if you are hosting the blog on your own hosting plan, versus when your blog is hosted with wordpress (i.e. your blog url is xyz.wordpress.com).
Anyone know for sure about this?

Due to the fact that WordPress promotes AdSense plugins in their official directory, I would guess they mean if you are hosting your blog on WordPress.com (as you said Sherif)

LOL. Once again, we were both typing at the same time
After I submitted the original message, I went to Wordpress Forums to try to answer the question I raised, and then went back to edit my original response
Sorry

No problem, Lisa.
So with all this talk about blogs, I decided to install the Wordpress software onto my "Going Green" website, because I was going to start a blog for that website anyway.
For some reason, I had a mental block about installing the WP on my own host. I assumed it would be tricky... but I was wrong, I installed the Wordpress Software, I also uploaded a custom theme I like, and it's all ready to go. The whole process was a lot easier than I thought, it took me like 10 minutes.
So, momsbuyingfrommoms, if you would like/need help with installing the WP software on your own host, let me know, I got some experience in that department now (as I am sure many others in this forum)
Ok, enough fun for now, back to work

That's the beauty of wordpress, simple to setup for all levels of bloggers.
P/S: If I am not mistaken, wordpress.com does not allow any form of ads in the blog hosting in wordpress.com, even you are setting up with your own domain.

I really liked up until about 5 minutes ago, when I realized that there is a newer version 2.3.2 that I should download. It's not available through Fantastico yet, so I downloaded it manually to my PC, then currently FTP-ing the files to my server. LOL. It could be worse, I guess
FTP-ing always takes longer than it should
So I am waiting patiently to start playing with all the different features and plug-ins

Once you get used to installing software to your server via MySQL databases its so easy and simple. I have installed multiple plugins on my WP and I must say there fantastic. I downloaded this master 'Stat' thing, it basically provides me a graph telling me exactly where there cursors click and interpreting it as a thermal heat image!

Im so glad that I moved from my Blogger hosted blog, theres just so many new features that I'm able to get my hands on.
