Default Can I really make money with adsense!

I have been reading about google adsense lately, I am wondering if its really worth cluttering my site with google ads. Does it really make a profit?

Hmm tuff question, yes and no. You cannot expect wonders from Adsense straight away most begginers only get a few cent every week. Traffic will always be the key, it works like this.

Built Site - Traffic slowly increases - Build credibility provide useful information - Return visitors and traffic still increasing; promotion continues - put a few adsense units in where people are likely to click - revenue begins building very small - oh they can't keep away more revenue (couple more ad units) - constant content - success

Read lisa article on adsense clutter! http://blog.2createawebsite.com/2007...ense-overload/

Most people give up, dont! you will succeed if you keep your mind at it. There is no rich quick solution apart from buying lotto tickets everyday! Stick with it and good luck you will reach success and perhaps even become your own boss!

With enough traffic, you definitely can and it's the top money maker for my fitness site. I earn at least 4 figures per month from AdSense with all my sites combined. I think you need to work on getting traffic first and then the money will come.

I agree with Rob & Lisa. Although I am new to Adsense, I have made $9 in just 3.5 weeks. this is from word of mouth visits (Friends, family, associates, and a few strangers). From what I have heard, I'm doing better, in my first 4 weeks, than a lot of people who have found success with it. I"M GONNA BE RICH! LOL... But seriously, I started a weight loss blog, which is free through Blogger, as my first Adsense project. I have a few other sites I will be launching soon. You just have to stick with it like anything else you believe in. I believe it is a great opportunity. i hope it goes well with you.

As everyone has mentioned, traffic-time-effort is what is involved to make any type of income. Simply concentrate on your content and everything will fall into place.

focus and consistency is the key to success...

With the introduction of blogs, there has been some alternate channel of traffic source, blog sites are much quicker to be seen as compared to the old days where we have to wait for at least 3-6 months for a yahoo / google update to examine our hard work.

So true. I just moved my blog to my domain and launched it a couple of weeks ago and began receiving search engine traffic in 2-3 days. Of course having it linked to my established site helps I'm sure, but I've also noticed other webmasters mentioning they've gotten traffic pretty fast with their new blogs.

There is a saying in SEO community where blog and forums gets more attention from google as compare to normal sites.

blogs have it's own channel to distribute news (RSS feeds, blog news sites), I guess google do not wish to loose out in this segment of info distribution battle.

I definitely think Google and search engines treat blogs differently. I didn't do much when submitting my blog to search engines, and sure enough it only took a few days for my blog to start receiving traffic from Google and other search engines.

Google's index especially takes a lot of blogs into its index, I'm always hearing about others who have gained lots of traffic from there blog, I have a theory that the blog software has some kind of search engine friendly unit or substance apart from 'RSS' that makes that little more special than a common site.

I think search engines love blogs is that they are unique content (unless stolen..but that's in another thread). People regularily post to their blog which is also another plus for search engines.

I use Blogger, which is owned by Google, so that also may have something to do with the fact that I was index by Google rather quickly.

Default Yes you can profit with adsense

Adsense ads is a totally legit way to make money online. Especially for the beginnier.

1. IT does not cost you anything to join.
2. They provide you with almost everything you need to get started. Including tips and great advice on how and where to implement your ads. Do NOT pay anyone for adsense help. Read their advice first you will save money.
3. They always pay on time...You can get paid by check or by direct deposit into your bank account...no charge. (You do need to make at least 100.00 bucks before you get paid if not it carries over to the next month).
4. You will not get rich but with a little marketing knowledge and determination you could concieviably make a good second income eventually maybe full time income.
5. The most important part of adsense is NOT to click on your own ads. Do not tell any of your relatives, friends, or enemies to click on your ads.

Good tips Guzie,

Adsense are definantly very cautious if they find any invalid clicks and they do log your IP address. There is no cheating google why would you really? when its kind enough to give you free money for a few clicks here and there it truly is a very useful program.

- Does anyone know actually which genius created it? I think its googles main source of income.
