Default I get visitors everyday to by blog, but none click on my ads?

Hello, this is the first time I post in this forum.

Since I am 14 years old, I have been creating blogs, websites etc. Now I am 21 and I got motivated recently in making money with my blog by using google adsense and other ad serving programs such as shopping ads.

I have been getting visitors from all over the world to my blog everyday:

See here for proof:

http://feedjit.com/stats/digiapps.blogspot.com/map/

My blog is http://digiapps.blogspot.com

BUT none of them click on my ads. I made my blog at the end of May, so is new, but I have only gotten $3.57 in total earnings from my Google ad sense account, and $0.00 in my Shopping Ads accounts, and have gotten 2 clicks on the ads.

I know that earning money like this isn't easy and is a slow process, but I would like to know how to earn a lot more in the following months so I can be able to get payed.

My blog is about reviews of free useful software and websites. I love to write about suggestions of cool free ware that I have found useful and know that others will find them useful too. People come everyday to my blog, so I believe I am doing a good job. The blog is in English and in Spanish because I want to receive visitors from everywhere in the world and I have been achieving that.

-I have submitted my blog to blog directories.
-I have submitted my blog to search engines such as Yahoo, Google and others, and already have my blog indexed in Google.
-I believe I have placed the google ads, and shooping ads on the right places.
-I have been getting hits everyday.
-I have promoted my website in forums related to my blog topic.

I still don't know what to do to get people to click on my ads.

What do you suggest?

Should I buy my own domain????

Hi and welcome!

First of all, I do believe you should have your own domain but that's not necessarily the reason why people aren't clicking your ads. You mentioned you are getting traffic but how much? Most people don't start seeing any decent income/clicks from AdSense until they have at least 150 visitors per day. Are you getting that many?

Second, try experimenting with placement. I see you have the ads across the top and the big box in the middle but to me they look so much like ads that I could see why people may ignore them. Have you tried aligning the ads vertically along side your text with no box around it?

I've never been a fan of using a border around Google ads. To me it always yells "This is an ad!!" and I've gotten better clicks without the border. Experimentation is definitely key and you may want to experiment more with placement and colors.

Thanks for your advice. I guess I have to work more on getting more traffic, because I am just getting 21 hits per day, I guess that's not enough, and yes, I should make the ads less obvious. I am thinking of buying a cheap domain address in the future, because I always like that idea but first I need to attract more visitors.

Thanks for taking your time to help me!

Oh definitely yes. And you have to figure out of those 21, some of those may even be you right? (I didn't point that out to discourage you of course but I'm just making the point with traffic levels that small you cannot expect much from AdSense yet.) Keep writing and promoting. You'll get there.

I didn't start to see clicks on my ads until I was over 100 visitors. I also found that my best performing ads were the ones located just below the header of the post.

You should experiment to see what works for your blog, providing you increase your traffic.
