Sure. I used to have them here but the revenue was so dismal I removed them. I attribute a lot of that due to the fact this forum is targeted toward webmasters and most webmasters are aware or adsense ads and ignore them.

I run them on a Linux Basic programming forum and I too see few licks on the ads. But, as Lisa said, yes you can place adsense ads on a forum.

I use a plug-in for the ads. Maybe you can look for a plug-in that will make it easy for you to add ads to your forum, most forum software have a few.

Default Just started a forum with Adsense

I just started my first forum with Adsense ads. I have been able to generate several visitors. About 2 in 200 visitors passing through have actually clicked on the Adsense ads.

On forums the ads is all about positioning and placement.

You can get some decent clicks if implemented correctly.

Very true Lajocar and I will be first to admit I haven't experimented much with forum monetization. I'm sure I'm leaving a lot of revenue on the table. It's on my list of many things to do.

I've already had AdSense here but as you said it's all about placement. The location I chose wasn't good so CTR was dismal. I'm in the process or redesigning the header so I can optimize it for ad space. I still don't plan to go crazy on the ads, though.

As mentioned you can place adsense ads on a forum. Placement will be part of the equation to getting the best from adsense.
