Default Share encouraging words about Adsense

So I have been using Google Adsense around a year now and am excited about the idea of passive income.

My average is a little over three dollars a day. I have to admit, I do get a little discouraged because I would rather be making $3 per minute. When I think of all the work it took to get to this point I am beginning to wonder if it is really worth it?

One thing that I do like is how Google allows you to let the funds accumulate. For me this is good because I have never really had a savings account.

Jordy, it's definitely worth the wait. I noticed in another thread you said you have 750 email subscribers so that's a fabulous start. Have you found ways to market to them where you could display more AdSense ads?

Hang in there. I remember back in December 2006, my SBI! site was stuck at the 600 visitor/day mark for 2-3 months. Then in January of 2007 all of a sudden Google started sending me crazy amounts of traffic and my AdSense revenue tripled from that site. So just keep building and marketing and you may wake up to a nice traffic surprise as I did.

These are Christian teens that subscribe to my daily devotionals for the Prayer For Youth website. I have had success with Google referral ads with the mailing list. I like to have control over what actually gets displayed. I tried a couple of times to let Google match ads with the content but there were too many misleading advertisements that appeared. Like any ad that had the name God in it weather it was an Atheist, Budist or a site saying that God does not exist. Even many of the referral ads that appeared to be legitimate, when I followed them, they were very misleading.

I am off to a good start, today's Adsense is up to $5 already. I am very new at all this and have made some huge SEO mistakes that cost me good rankings.

Default I use Homestead

I have been using Homestead to build my sites. They have a newsletter sign-up that automatically stores and sends the teen devotionals.

No, SBI! is not the only way to get traffic. It's just a program I usually recommend for people getting started. You can certainly succeed without it though.

Drawback for me about SBI is I have to take time to get used to it hence I can't go for it for now. I have read your ebook about traffic and I love it. Thanks

Default Adsense for me for a new site

My website is almost a couple months old and I've made about 10 dollars on adsense. This is with about 65 unique visitors this month. I see it being definitely something requiring a lot of statistical analysis, particularly on pages visited the most often and the placement of the ads. Maybe in a year or so I will have learned enough and started to get enough traffic to share how I've been successful with it.

Default Reflection on that comment:

Good thinking, Jeremy. The way we all benefit is when people share from what they really know. It is sometimes hard to know whether people are just talking what they have heard or what they know. Right now you can share a lot of tech help and achievement info that you have a background in.

An important point I like to make is that everyone does have something to contribute and should look at their own strengths as well as weaknesses. A favorite author of mine used to say, "Everyone is ignorant, just on different subjects." I like to say, "Everyone is an expert, just on different subjects." By sharing our expertise in places like this we can all profit.

Nevertheless, even the limited information you just shared is helpful. It is useful to know how things develop for others so we can have some perspective for our own work.

Default Adsense was up by $4.00 yesterday woohoo

I put some additional effort forth to promote two specific pages in a community yesterday and made some good extra dollars from the effort. This was very encouraging to see that 8 clicks made $4 additional.
