Question When to Apply?

Should you apply for Adsense as soon as you get your hosting company setup and your address out there or should you wait a week or two before applying?

ive heard lots of new accounts are being banned so maybe you should wait a few weeks for the traffic to start coming.

I would apply now as sometimes it can take some time before you are approved. I had one customer wait three weeks and was approved before his site was even finished. The reason most sites get banned is they do not follow the rules of what google says you can and cannot do with the adsense. You can usually tell these sites by every bit of free spce being taken up by ads. If you follow what Google has laid out in the terms and conditions you will should never have a issue with it.

If your signing up for Ad Sense, I would atleast wait until you have 150+ daily visitors coming to your site or your a Youtube partner.

Because if not your not going to earn much revenue

I waited about 2 month. When I applied my blog had about 20 posts (average about 300-500 words). Of course I tried to follow the google rules strictly (i.e. privacy policy page etc.). I got the approval e-mail within 5 or 6 hours (I was extremely surprised since I have read about 1-2 weeks approval time).

I got approved for adsense on one domain, which I have not placed any ads on. Then I decided to place some ads on another domain. According to the instructions, if I read correctly, I don't sign up for another account, but use the same account I got originally. I went through the steps to generate an ad, copied the code, pasted the code into my wordpress blog, and nada. All I got was a 'page not found' below one of my posts. Do I need a widget or plugin to display adsense in WP? Or do I need to wait a bit for it to show up? What steps am I missing?

Never mind. It just showed up. LOL. Do I need to change the 'channels' because it's showing horses for sale. LOL.
Or is it going by the title of my blog? How do I get the right kind of ads to display? The page I have the ad on is about digital art.

Update--- some minutes later. Ok, I got the one ad to show ads related to content. I placed the same coding on a second page, and I'm getting the "page not found." Do I need fresh code? Or am I still being impatient? And why does the ad appear and disappear and then appear again?

I did something else. I 'clicked' on the advance bracket (>) to see if other ads show up, and it dawned on me that we are not supposed to click on our ads per Google regulations. Will that one click get me in trouble? I didn't actually click the ad, just the advance link.
