Question How could I possibly get a click on adsense and not add anything to my earnings??

yesterday I only got 1 click on the adsense adds on my new blog but the todays earnings remained at zero $ so how could this happen?

I had that happen once too. I never looked into the matter though.

I learned a long time ago that the Google statistics are like chasing the wind. One day they make sense and another, I just scratch my head and say "how can that be?"

That's exciting that you got a click! Hoping that this is the beginning of an upward climb in your online PPC revenue.

It could also have been a publis service announcement displayed instead of an actual ad, that is if Google counts the clicks on those.

Hi Techie, I never heard of those announcements before but that could be true, thanks.

Maybe a stupid question, but shouldn't you look under yesterday's earnings if you received a click then?

Google is very good at detecting fraudulent clicks and those never get counted as earnings. Maybe someone on the same IP or some kind of bot clicked the ad.

hi Nora, It isn't a stupid question, I already checked that and I didn't get any click on either blog yesterday.

Talking update

just now I got another click that was counted also but this time it did add in my earnings, which I earned for alot mere then usual, so I'm not sure if they added both clicks now or what.
I guess I'll have to go with Jordy's advice and scratch my head

Clicks with no earning are the pain of each day; everyone is for sure experiencing them. Fraud suspicious clicks, people clicking an ad for mistake and then instantly closing the window, the mentioned public service ads - you can turn them off -, etc...
Adsense makes sense?
