CTR?
Does anyone know what a good or decent CTR should be?
Thanks!

For marketing in general, anything over 2% is considered decent. But of course it depends on your niche. For example 2create has a HORRIBLE CTR usually because my site targets webmasters and most are immune to Google ads. But my flat stomach site is usually around 5-6% because the audience is generally not as aware of the ads. Although I've seen that change lately too as more and more people learn about Google ads.

That makes me feel a little better about my statistics. I get frustrated with it all sometimes because it's like a roller coaster ride. I just took a look at my Google statistics and I am averaging around 7%.

jordy, I would think that's a pretty good CTR no matter what niche. I would be happy with that for sure.

OK, so I just looked again at the past couple of months and the 7% is an accurate figure.
I think the frustration comes in because these sites that I have Adsense on are only close to a year old. One day I make $4 the nest $7 then another day only $3.
I wonder if I'll ever catch upm with Joel Comm's $20,000 per month from Adsense?
The good news is that when I first started I was making less than a dollar a day.

It really does get frustrating, but I think it takes time to reach stability.
God help us all to reach that

well now i've totally confused myself because i originally made this post with the knowledge (or so i thought) that i had below a 2% ctr.
well i changed some ads around a couple days ago, and checked stats again today, and now my ctr (all time average) is well above 4%. So where did I get below 2% from?? my ctr since i changed the ads around is not high enough to have altered the all time average THAT much, so i wonder what the heck i was looking at when i thought i had below 2%. oh well - thank goodness it's friday!!
