Default Adsense appears very slowly on my website

    Hi everyone

I was using adsense on few of my websites and everything was great, but when I put it on my new website I realised all ads load after long time, sometimes after 20 seconds, or even more. Because of this in the place where ads should appear I can see an empty space. People who visit my website will already scroll down the screen and read something alse and not the begining of the page where I have ads. I included my ads also in the middle of the page, but the same result. For a long time there is an empty space. When I wait long enough then finally ads appear.

My website doesn't have any other ads, banners or pictures. It is simple and mainly text, some pages only have text, so the site is not overloaded with pictures that could slow down everything. Any idea what could have happened? It makes my website look unprofessional.

And one more thing that I noticed. At the top of the browser where the name of the page appears, there is a green circle turning around all the time without ever stopping. It is in the same place as on this forum I can see the logo "wb" before the name of the website.

    Any help will be appreciated

    Hi There Mimilka,

As for the Adsense I cannot help you due to not having much experience with it, however I can help you with your second issue.

The icon that appears before the title is called a "favicon" and if you have access to your websites file manager you can easily remove this by deleting the "favicon.ico" file that will appear in your root directory. If you want to make your own favicon there are plenty of online creators which you can use that are free, all you have to do is search "free online favicon creator" and loads will appear. Then just overwrite the original favicon file. If you do not see any immediate changes I would advise that you clear your web browser's cache and try again.

    Hope this helped you

Hi Original Hosting, thanks for your answer

Ah so this is a favicon, I didn't know it has such a name. I added it to all my websites, but it didn't help. It works only at websites without adsense. I think my adsense code has a problem, but I don't know why, I use the same code at my other websites and such problems don't appear.

The green circle comes and it looks like the browser indicates that the website is not fully loaded. It appears sometimes at other websites but only for few seconds, until the page is fully loaded. I have a feeling that this problem slows down my website very much.

Take a look at the timeline tab & see which component of the website take very long to load & try to improve them. Also see recommendation in the YSlow tab.

I still don't understand the report that I get. It is showing a lot of grade F and E, which is marked red, so I guess it means I need to improve it. It is showing in sections:
    - specify image dimensions
    - minify CSS
    - specify a vary: accept-encoding header
    - leverage browser caching

I really have no idea what it means, but these sections have grade F and E

In YSlow I got grade F for
    - add expires headers
    - compress components with gzip
    - use a content delivery network

I clicked on all these links, but I don't understand it. Some links this website says I have on my website, but I don't actually have them. So many links seems not to be mine, I wonder from where they come from. Also some pictures are not on my website, but they come in these stats. And the problem with CSS seems to be strange, because I used a template, it was not my own CSS, I cannot change it, but I got a recomendation to make it smaller. In my opinion the problem started when I added adsense. When I remove it then the website gets back to normal, but the same ads work on my other websites. This problem seems to be impossible to solve

I just posted about ads not showing up on my site after publishing. Also a "Rogue" ad that I deleted it still showing up. Silly issues.
