Default What's your best Adsense month?

When I get a record Adsense month, I feel one part of me jumping for joy and another part of me being sad. The "feeling sad" comes around because I now have a new ceiling to break.

What's your best Adsense month this year? Mine are May and September. May 2010 was my best month until Sept came along, which broke the May record. Unfortunately October doesn't seem to be performing as well.

Without revealing how much you make, can you tell me what's your best Adsense month this year? I want to compare whether your record months and mine are similar. You see, it's been going on in my mind for a while that the main reason I'm earning more in those months is because advertisers are paying more for the ads in those months, and not because I am getting more clicks. My total impressions have held on steadily and in fact increased month over month. On the other hand, the Alexa ranking of many of my sites have actually deteriorated in September, even when I was on a new record month. I attribute it to my not updating those sites as I was busy building new ones. That I could get a record month while seeing a slip in Alexa ranking is another reason why I am losing faith in Alexa! Having many websites to compare, I can also say, based from my own sites, that the website with the best Alexa ranking isn't the one that's earning the most!

In October I tried out, for the first time, Adsense's link ads, which I placed right below the <h1> header. Now I am feeling that the link ads are contributing to my October deterioration in earnings, pulling the clicks away from the text ad units. I say this because you need two clicks to earn with link ads, whereas you only need one click to earn with the regular text ads. I will leave the link ads for another two weeks, and if the earnings stay deflated, I will take them out.

If you regularly monitor your Adsense performance (and also perhaps your Alexa ranking), do share with us how's things been coming along.

Yeah, if Link Units were one click that would be sweet, as i get crazy amount of clicks, but few turnovers..

My earnings have been steadily climbing .. getting about $15-20 more each month as my traffic grows .. 2 days last week however i don't know what happened, i made a report to Google for i sense click bombing, for two days in a row I made like 4 times my average daily amount .. was kidna weird, so i reported it, Google has not contacted me back, so i guess everything was in order.

What i do notice, sometime Google runs a great amount of new fresh ads, so i guess people click those on more occasion vs the older ads that they see everyday..

May was my best month in my Adsense history (been signed up to 2006), however this month (October) I've already broken that record!

March was my best month so far this year. January - March are typically my best months overall for affiliate sales and AdSense.

For the past four months earnings continue to gradually climb. Last month, September, was the BEST ever!

I have several websites that I make money with by having Adsense on the pages.

I've noticed that certain niches make more per click than others depending upon the day and month.

For instance, one of my sites is related to fixing things around the house. On Saturdays
I always get a boat load of clicks.

Another one of my sites is related to people finding music stores. During December (Christmas)
the clicks soar through the roof.

    Just an update.

My Adsense peak months so far have been Oct 2009, then May, followed by Sept and now Oct 2010. After my September record finish, I thought Oct started off poorly, but it turned around towards the end of the month. My October poor earnings start made me assume that the beginning of months usually start off poorly (I did a post on that: http://www.websitebabble.com/adsense...-earnings.html)

    Again I'm wrong.

My November started off like raging fire. Then yesterday's earnings were pretty bad. I don't think I can make any more assumptions! No, I mean, the only thing I can assume with Adsense is, it's going to outwit me!

Just a short update: My Adsense performance in the second week of Nov has been rather weak. If it doesn't pick up, Oct will hold the record for me as the highest earning Adsense month.

    How about you?

To be honest I don't really see any specific months that stand out for AdSense. I have a few "Frankenstein" months here and there, but I don't really see any clear trends except for july through august which seem to be the lowest performing for my sites. I guess people are out enjoying the sun.

Affiliate wise though, there's an obvious surge in the months leading up to Christmas.. rougly november through february are the best months for affiliate programs.

I agree with you Viking. Maybe adsense earning is defend upon the season. I summer time people spent their time in beaches than staying at house.

A little update for me, November is looking to be a new record for me. My niche is definitely one that sees lots of traffic in the build up to christmas!

Take a load of this: my earning from Adsense two days ago was the highest of November. Yesterday's earning was the lowest of November. Highest and lowest back to back. What can I say about that?!

All months are the same for me. About 30 euros per month. I know... too less.

For me I do best with AdSense at the end of the year. We'll see when the new year comes though.
Maybe I'll just keep increasing in Adsense earnings.

Food site here. High months are November, December, as would be expected, I guess!
