I have heard that paypal users can get a debit card from Paypal that they can use to purchase goods and take out cash from ATMs throughout the world. I have a valid paypal account. I would like to know how to apply for the paypal debit card. Are there any other fees for the debit card?
I love the PP debit card. Basically, as soon as some one buys something from me, I could got the atm and get the money. Plus, as you mentioned, I use it to buy stuff, online and offline.
I've had mine for a while, so I don't remember if it cost anything, even if it did, it's worth it for me. Log in to your account, getting the debit card is in there somewhere. Sorry I don't remember.
I have had mine for a while too. I don't think they off it anymore. Not sure though. I'm going back to check. If I find out before someone post the correct answer, I post it here.
Ya they still offer the card , but they provide it only for customers in the US. I am from India and they dont offer Debit cards for us. I got an e-mail from paypal about it.
I have been buying and selling on eBay for 6 years and the first thing I did was get a PayPal debit card for myself and my wife Kim. It's really convenient when I go to the post office to pay for shipping. The only trouble I have had is that some gas stations and also some merchants online don't recognize PayPal as an official card. Other than that. I love it.
What Paypal talks about it for non-U.S. It seems like Paypay accept India as well.

Eligibility. At this time, the PayPal MasterCard ATM/Debit Card (the "Debit Card" "ATM/Debit Card" or the "Card") is offered to U.S. and, in limited circumstances, select non-U.S. PayPal users only. Users that are offered a debit card will need to complete the following application requirements, if they have not already done so:
1. Have been a PayPal member for at least 60 days
2. Have registered a credit card where the monthly statement is sent to a physical street address (not a P.O. Box). PayPal will only mail the Debit Card to this address; periodic statements and transaction information will be available on the PayPal website and not by mail.
3. Have linked a bank account to their PayPal account and verified control of the bank account
4. Have opened or upgraded to a Premier or Business account
5. Upon review by our Account Review department are deemed as being an active member in good standing within the PayPal community.
I use the Paypal debit card to pay for almost everything. You get money back when you use the card (it was 1.5%-not sure if it's still that high). Instead of using my Paypal account online to pay merchants, I always use the card and get the money back.
I even use it to pay my eBay fees and get the 1.5% back. Use anywhere they accept Mastercard.
