Adding a Store to my site?
Two or three of the products on my site will not be done through an affiliate program..they will be drop shipped. So now I need to figure out how to get a store and cart on my site.
Since it is only a couple of items, and since I probably won't be making daily or weekly sales of it until my traffic grows, I really don't want to pay a fortune for shopping cart software.
So far I have looked into ejunkie, Volusion, and shopsite.
Any thoughts on these or any other store formats?
Thanks.

Hello im in the same possition as you, i have an affiliate store but i plan on selling a couple of my own products soon, i will rarely sell any since i will only have a couple of products.
I suggest looking in to PayPal its a free service, you can quickly produce buttons such as buy now and view shopping cart. They take a small percentage on every sale but apart from that its free.
I was quite amazed when i found this out. Also allot of people use this mehod before moving on to a full shopping cart.
Hope i helped.

Well thanks Conceptskateboarding! I appreciate the kind words about the site.
If all else fails I will use the Paypal buttons...but I didn't want to cut off people who don't have Paypal either so I was looking into a regular store.
I had been wondering what anyone's experiences with any of those stores had been .
Your site looks great! It fits right into the skateboarding theme, has a lot of great information, and is so much more professional looking than my site was when I started!!
LOL...I watched the "How To Ollie" video....I know...I am quite ignorant about skateboarding...I had always wondered how they got the board to "go" with them when they jumped over the stairs, etc.

People wouldn't actually need a PayPal account to pay you, assuming you want them to pay by credit or debit card - a one-off payment can be made.

Hi Jewel, long time no speak Hope all is good in your world!
I have started using wahmshoppes and so far I am pleased with the back-end. It's $7.00/month and loaded with features. I haven't uploaded any products yet, but so far I have no complaints.
Take Care,

If you have basic cPanel hosting with Fantastico, why not try zen-cart - it installs from cPanel by clicking the blue Fantastico icon and then all you have to do is click 'Install', and it's completely free. Plenty of features.

In what way? I've used it a few times and it's feature-packed enough to wonder why you would dismiss it out of hand so readily.

I've never used it so I can't say, but that, too, can be installed from cPanel with just a couple of clicks, so that's two easy options for people to consider...
