I was at the Affiliate Summit last week in Vegas and PPC was a big topic of conversation. Here's what's happening. AdWords and even Yahoo Search are starting to apply some SEO tactics more and more to pay per click. What that means is if the keywords you are bidding on aren't as relevant to your landing page then they will make you pay a higher price per click because you're lacking in relevancy.

You can either tweak your landing page so it fits your keywords better, or as Google suggested you have to pay a higher price. They are trying to make the PPC results more relevant just like the natural/free results and it's causing a lot of PPC marketers to re-work their strategies. Relevancy is everything these days with Google and if you're not as relevant as they want you to be, they'll make you pay for it.
