Hi proqmbm,

First of all, I think you may be getting ahead of yourself a bit. In order to convince people to give you their credit card info, whether it's for information, product, etc. you have to create some kind of credibility and warm them up to the sale.

So creating a page with a sales pitch and then asking for a credit card at the end is jumping the gun.

Let's say you are selling a package that teaches someone how to buy a used car. Rather than creating a page with your sales pitch, it would be better to create a site with lots of free information on car-buying. Once that information gets found in the search engines that free, useful content sort of PREsells your "paid information" and you build your credibility.

Were you just planning on selling this information or were you also planning on having more on your site than just a sales page?

As far as setting up the page you could use an editor (Nvu is free) and to collect the payment you could use PayPal or any other online payment system. But hopefully with a site like this you are planning on creating more than just a one-page sales pitch.
