I don't think its amusing dont worry there's plenty of people worse than you I believe I knew some guy who didn't no what the internet was.

You will only buy one domain, so you bought a .com

It would be:

Yoursite.com/pages/content.html

It wouldn't suddenly change to a .net because that is a different domain there separate its like oranges and apples.

You can't mix them your domain and all your content would always have that .com somewhere in your visitors address bar.

I hope you can grasp it one day its always harder when you start off it gets easier though; promise!
