I agree with most of what people have said...the blinking makes it immediately hard for me to want to stay on the site. (Although I think you said that you would fix that)
The site overall seems to be very disorganized. It's hard to find information that you are looking for. This is the kind of site that if I ran across it, I would immediately leave because I would feel like I would not get any information off of it because of it's poor readability.
I think the content is good and very useful, but a new template might be considered. You can get free templates from
http://www.templatesbox.com. That's a good site.
The image with all of the fading and the two doves...I don't know about that. There's too much going on in it.

Took me a few times through reading it to figure out what you are trying to say...
