I'm not familiar with pagewizard either, but when you say you click insert and then html, that sounds like the process for putting an add-on to the page, like adsense or a visitors counter.
I think the html code you are trying to use should be inserted directly into the content, like you would do to change a background in myspace. Try putting the code in the beginning of the body copy and see what happens.
