I am REALLY worried it is. I built a financial website and was going to wait one more week to request a re-review. I have a unique site with some great tools. It is around 40 pages in size and growing. BUT, I only get 3-5 visitors a day from organic searches! That is with over 100 links coming in and very good on-page SEO.
I spent over 100 hours on this site, not to mention spending money and purchasing rights to 24 financial calculators to make the site even more unique. Unless someone could show or comfort me on something other then a niche competition issue, I wonder if it is worth trying to get the last 15 pages up or pursuing adding affiliates.
I am trying an experimental site that is only 8 pages in size but a very much smaller niche to see what difference it makes.
I think you ask a great question, I just don't like the answer I fear.
