You can use any font you like in images, but when it comes to text you should stay with the standards. The reason for this is because the font will need to exist on the visitor's computer in order for it to be displayed properly. If it doesn't exist, another font from the visitor's computer will be used.

You should stay with the more common fonts usually found on computers to ensure your site is displayed properly.
