I've been saying I was going to "Netflix" the old Law and Orders series. I know a lot of people who love that show. CSI too.

Law and Order is a great series indeed! I especially like the
Criminal Intent spin-off and
SVU spin-off. I think you'll enjoy them. And the Netflix idea is a great one. We have a similar service in Canada called Zip and I get a lot of DVD's through that to watch. It works out to be cheaper than going to the local Block Buster, and in the dead of Winter I don't have to leave my home...which is a double bonus...
And yes, you are right about the writer's strike having an effect on the upcoming TV season...that's why I have a bunch of TV series on DVD to chill out with...
