hmmm... this may be too simple (i.e. i hope i am not insulting your intelligence), but let's start with this...
When you go to the website's homepage, what do you see on the address bar of your browser after the domain extenstion (.com, .org, or whatever...). For example, when you visit the home page, if the address bar says website.com/default/etcetc/index.html let us know what it says after the .com (in this case, it would be "default/etcetc/index.html").
