Writing reviews was something I thought about for some time. My blog is about technology, but I wanted to review more than technology blogs and sites, so I thought about it a little as many of them won't be related to my blog.

I did decdie to do it for several reasons:

1. Provide others with at least one backlink from my site. This will help new blogs or those starting out with their sites. In return they may provide a link to my blog form their's. It has happened on one blog.

2. Provide some additional visitors that I may not otherwise get from technology searches alone, such as the StumbleUpon from today.

3. Get to view some interesting blogs and sites that I may not have found on my own.

4. Brush up on my review skills, just in case I decide to do paid reviews.

I usually try to be somewhat detailed in my reviews and it takes me about 2 hours to write one. The authors of the blogs/sites that I have reviewed have provided positve feedback to me, which helps to keep me going.
