Yeah but what if we accidentally bump into an electromagnetic force-field which takes us there in seconds(sort of like a Bermuda Triangle of Space lol)? Remember, a lot of pilots just taking off from Porto Rico swear of simultaneously arriving above Miami in seconds!
No methane Gas Bubble could do that. Besides, there nowhere's near as powerful as the 70's dude would have you believe(through his so-called rational explanations). Even if it could happen, it's a one in a 500 year event. Couple that with being at the right place at the right time. You do the math.
More people have been reported missing there then anyplace else on Earth. And it ain't even the busiest ship/air rout!
Back to that planet, I'm sure we'll accidentally(either that or through a genius) bump into some law of nature we haven't discovered to get us there in no time.
