Web sites are becoming larger nowadays because so many users are on highspeed (broadband). Many times you can right-click a Web page and select properties to view the size of the page. Now this is only the HTML portion you will have to also include the images, which can be very large.

I switch to cable many years ago and it has come in handy, especially when I work from home. I'm kinda spoiled with the 10Mb download speed that I'm getting with my cable provider, which downloads pages in less than a second.
