Here's another thing to consider - you can have multiple domains with SBI.

One of the (very cool) SBI tools is NameParkIt! (NPI!). With that tool you can purchase a domain name (very inexpensively) and point it wherever you want it to go (such as a specific page on your site, or to an affiliate link).

With that in mind, you may want to check with support at SiteSell when you purchase to see if your old (current) domain name can be pointed to your new domain, as an NPI!, after you do your niche research.

Additionally, make sure your past work isn't lost! Make sure your existing pages and files are backed up - no need to completely reinvent the wheel, right? You'll only need to make sure that only one site is "live" - you don't want to get dinged for duplicate content (having two sites with the same content at each).
