GreenThumb has great advice. You really should focus on one theme for your site when it comes to promoting AdSense. The more content you have surrounding that one theme, the better you will do.
I also re-read my first post to this thread and want to clarify something. I warned people to stay away from Internet marketing and entertainment sites and I should have put some caveats with those statements.
Internet marketing sites can do very well but if you are new to Net marketing I would not advise you choosing this theme because newbies don't have the income or credibility to prove they are making money so it's very difficult to tell someone else how to make money if you don't have proof you're doing that yourself. So that's what I meant by that.
I just wanted to add that because it sort of made it seem like I was saying no one can succeed with a Net marketing site. That's not true, it's just the cards are generally stacked against you due to competition and the reasons I mentioned initially.
