No one is jumping in so I will try to help get something started. Perhaps no one knows for sure where to begin with the information at hand. A little more about the structure of this problem would help.

Does it appear the layout of your page is basically ok except for images? Was your template built into the hosting program with you just plugging in content or a free standing full template? What is the path used for the images on your original site. Were they in an "images" folder located in the root folder of your site or elsewhere?.
