People seem to choose names that reflect the site rather than branding a name.

I get people all the time with names like

coffecakescandycandlesjewelryandmore.com

That is no joke, I have people daily with long combinations and then to top it off the add "andmore" or "ect" at the end.

If you do something like HTMLDOG.com (don't know if it is taken just an example) then you can build the site around a theme. Have dogs in the pages and give your site some identity. The name is easier to remember than one with dashes.

The name is useless if people wont remember it, and with several dashes, they wil never type it in directly. So my vote is to choose something more simple.

The name can make or break a site. I would work hard to get something that is just right.
People won't remember it. but search engines will like it. i can prove it with some of my own sites.

You can also redirect with a short domain name to the long hyphenated word domain name
