1) Finding a niche and understanding the people's needs.
2) Communicate with them in a way that is helpful without trying to over sell. 3) Make recommendations and show that you use the product
Doing this builds your credibility no matter what the topic of your site is and no matter who your audience is.

So what process would you go through to find the niche and the needs within that niche? And what do you look for as to the line between "helpful communication" and "overselling?" If what you have will be helpful, and you hold back so as to not oversell you maybe cheating them a little by under "selling" an not get the benefit of what you have to offer them?
