I really didn't know much HTML when I started transitioning my SBI site.

I bought a template with helpful instructions from another SBI'er (although you can use Lisa's and use her video as well)

You don't need to buy Dreamweaver....I went with James' recommendation to use free Notetab Lite as my text editor (I LOVE it James...thank you!).

The header was the most challenging part for me..I wasted a lot of time trying to muddle through it myself. You can keep the SBI header you have, design your own, or pay someone to design one for you (mine ended up costing me only $30). I think that picture you have on your home page would make a great header!

All that being said...I am SOOOO glad I made the transition as it is so much easier to make any changes on my site. And I just uploaded seven new pages, the first since I transitioned and even they were a breeze!

I would, however, recommend you at least get started in Blockbuilder if you are a newbie at website building, like I was(am) as I learned a lot that way..enough to be able to get through the basics and to have a decent foundation when I finally decided to transition.

And to address your initial question...no, you can't change the width of the SBI templates, you can only move them left, centered, and I can't remember if you can move it right but I don't think so!
