James,
This is nothing to do with anything on the forum but I was reminded of you tonight by an item on the National TV news here in the UK earlier this evening.
For 18 months a French conservationist has been teaching an orphaned American Eagle to fly after it was raised in a zoo. Earlier today he took the eagle to the top of Mont Blanc, let it stand on its own feet and then paraglided from the top of the mountain. The bird followed him, flying on its own for the first time, it even landed on his outstretched arm for a rest during the flight. It was simply fantastic to see.
I love flight and would have given my eye teeth to be up there with him and the bird.
