I hope that I`m posting in the right area.

I`ve just joined and have a question that is so basic it may give you all a laugh and make me kick myself when someone solves my problem.

I am trying to create website content on my own without using ready made templates and found the free html editor here. I have tried twice to open the editor after downloading it without success. The instructions keep taking me round in circles without opening the editor. Any ideas anyone?

A general comment on a broader topic. I am partially sighted and had the dickens of a job reading the verification code when registering, I had to refresh the code six or seven times before I could decipher the symbols.

I understand the reason for the verification but why does it have to be SO faint, why can`t there be more contrast between the background colour and the symbols? I can`t be the only person who has difficulty reading the things.

I`m not usually a forum person but everyone seems to be helpfull and SO positive which is a trait that I love. I hope that I can contribute in some way.
