Sorry you did not like my site sammas, I went with a simple design so that the articles can be read easier and so that the pictures and video can stand out more.
As far as the rest of the nice comments from this old thread I thank everyone. Currently Brettsreef has an average of 150 visitors a day, with over 350 page views. My bounce rate is slowly lowering as I add more and more content, currently it hovers above 60% which from what I have read is pretty good for a blog.
Monetizing this blog/website has been a horror, I have yet to find a proven spot for adsense and in most cases my affiliate links perform better.
This website building business is a tough gig but between the two websites I own I'm starting to see it work. As stated in some earlier comments, Content is Key.
