Hi blewcrush. An affiliate site for a product is a good idea PROVIDED you have the knowledge and experience to go with that product. Do you use SBI? Have you created sites that work with SBI? What makes you an authority on SBI and why would I buy from you? These are questions that need to be asked. When Lisa talks about SBI I can see immediately that she has a good deal of experience and knowledge with that product and this keeps me reading and interested.

The other issues you raised about having good copy and a catchy design are equally important and if you don't feel like you have it in you to create good ad copy and design, then either do a ton more research or outsource the work to those who can, which may be easier for you in the long run. And then of course, once you get the website up and running, then comes the hard work of getting traffic to your site and testing how your ad copy converts. Which may mean writing new ad copy or tweaking the layout.

So my first recommendation would be that you buy SBI and see what it can do...that is if you do not already have the program.

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but being an affiliate for a product is more work than a lot of people realize. I wish you great luck and best wishes.
