I have been using phpnuke for last 6 years and all my sites are running phpnuke have free membership website where I have step by step lesson along with videos to show how to set up phpnuke website.
You can see them in my sig.

I have tried wordpress as well and is ok for a blog but for a newbie who has no knowledge of scripts and than you have to install all plug in for all the extras that you want is lot hassle where as phpnuke will have all the blocks and modules installed and all you need to is deactivate the ones you do not want.

If you look at my sites I have got it where I have custom modules(pages in menu) and blocks that are html pages integrated in the phpnuke so ones one has learned how to setup and than you can add on to the website as you wish.

The good part about CMS is all you need to do is copy and paste your content articles and they are saved on a database that can be backed up weekly or monthly and saved on your computer and if for some reason something went wrong on server or by your mistake all you need to do is reinstall and put the same database to the new install and your website will be there as it was.

So you do not loose all that work you put in creating a CMS website.

I am here to help anyone who needs help with phpnuke.
