I wouldn't think there'd be a problem with splitting a page up or writing a second page of related content. People do it all the time. Your second page of content can be focused around a different keyword to maximize/multiply your SEO results. To the search engine spiders a page is a page -- and as long as it doesn't have duplicate content I don't see any problem. Besides, many people usually lose focus with lonnng content.
But don't get me wrong... studies have shown that lonnng content may be good in certain situations - especially for sales letters. However, generally speaking, I don't think most people want to plow through it. Many will view it as Indigestible.
